About TA-DA Challenge

TA-DA Challenge History

The TA-DA!Thesis and Dissertation Accomplished (TADA) Challenges have grown into a program that many students have used periodically to finish their Master’s thesis, comprehensive exams, proposals and dissertations.

The first TA-DA Challenge back in March 2006, was based on the TA-DA principles  and Dr. Gina Hiatt’s Writing Groups’ blog actvities.    Over the Spring break, students were challenged to set daily goals and see what how much they could get done in seven days.  These challenges were so successful they have been expanded to include Summer and Winter breaks as well.  Moreover, we partnered  with PROMISE : Maryland AGEP program  to extend their Dissertation House activities to include an online component.

TA-DA challenges provide graduate students with opportunities to make good use of their breaks in the academic year and network with other graduate students from around the world.  By using the TA-DA Challenges, graduate students are motivated and encouraged from others in the same circumstance.
